The Doberman Pinscher originated in the 1860s, in Germany. The breed was named after Louis Doberman, its progenitor, after his death in 1894. Early Dobermans were quite aggressive and boisterous dogs, but modern breeders work toward creating a more easy-going animal. Attracted with a puppy picture, you should not buy puppies.
